PyrStop

The People

Built by engineers who have seen wildfires first-hand

Pyr-Stop is a cross-functional team spanning aerospace, robotics, AI, power systems, and fire behaviour modelling — united by first-hand experience of the wildfire problem and a shared focus on practical deployment.

Our Story

Pyr-Stop was founded by engineers who grew up in regions affected by recurring wildfires. The project emerged from a simple belief: better technology should reach the field earlier, helping responders act during the critical window between ignition and escalation.

Today, the team is combining technical research, operational thinking, and field-informed design to develop a system intended for real-world wildfire response.

Recognition

XPRIZE Wildfire — Semifinalist & GreenTech Challenge — Finalist

In 2025, Pyr-Stop reached the Semifinals of the XPRIZE Wildfire competition (Track B) and was named a Finalist in the GreenTech Challenge 2025 — recognising the project's potential in climate and resilience innovation. Pyr-Stop continues development independently.
